Kart Endurance Race in Monza: second edition-June 2008

Everyone have always dreamed to race in the famous Monza Circuit, the third oldest track in the world. Since 1921 all the best drivers have wrote here the history of Motorsport. Now it’s possible! If you missed the first edition in July 2007 or if you were there and you desire to feel the same emotions again, just type on the keybord www.kartrace.it and discover how to be on the Starting Grid with your Team. JWR Agency and Mokart are the Official Promoters of the event, scheduled for the 28 and 29 of June, 2008. A maximum of 60 Corporate or Private Teams are admitted. The race will be like Le Mans, Sebring, Daytona, Watkins Glen, Spa, with all the Teams enjoing theirself for two fantastic days in the Monza circuit. The event will have a large Media-Coverage, with Tv, Press and Radio
The Team must have from six to ten drivers. On Saturday, 28 drivers will attend the Practice and Qualifying Sessions, on Sunday, 29 the 10 hours race will start at 9.00 am and finish at 07.00 pm.
The race track will be 5.3 kms long! Almost the entire Monza circuit is used, with some bends added to give the drivers more racing pleasure. You will drive on the First Variante, the Second Variante (also called “Variante della Roggia”), the First and the Second Lesmo bends, The Variante Ascari and the Raccordo Junior. Yes, right as Ascari, Fangio, Stewart, Andretti, Villneuve, Senna, Prost, Mansell, Schumacher did!

07:15 The Official Starting Grid is printed and distributed to all the Teams

How to Partecipate

The Kart Endurance Race is opened to everyone, from 18 years old to above. Can be accepted 60 teams maximum. Six to ten drivers per team, plus one Team Manager if he/she is NOT one of the drivers.

Team fee:

€5500 + V.A.T. per Team + €30 for each pilot( Driving license of the Italian Karting Federation, valid for this event only, insurance and Secretary fee)

 The fee includes:

a. the renting of a kart Birel N035X.
b. the complete technical assistance.
c. Consumables (a train of new tyre, petrol, oil, spoilers and all it is necessary).
d. All the necessary spare parts and their substitution.
e. One box (dimensions 4x21 mts).
f. 4x1.5mts behind the pit lane wall, in front of the main straight
g. Table + chairs.
h. Monitor for the Closed Circuit transmission of the competition results..
i. R.C. and Accident assurance for the pilots during the competition.
l. Electronic Chrono System+ one Alfano chronometer on the kart(free benefit for the first 30 teams)
m. Medical assistance.
n. 10 Entrance pass for pilots and guests to Track/Box, Paddock VIP Village area.
o. Application up to a maximum of 10 pilots per Team
p. Photographic review
q. One free session for each pilot to test the kart in the Mokart Indoor Track, Cinisello Balsamo, Milan

How to Arrive

From Milan
Road to Monza from V.le Zara, V.le Fulvio Testi, V.le Brianza, V.le Lombardia, Rondò dei Pini, Villa Reale, then access to the Park through Porta Monza or Porta Santa Maria delle Selve (pedestrians and authorized personnel only). Otherwise starting from Piazzale Loreto through Viale Monza, Sesto San Giovanni, V.le Casiraghi, V.le Brianza and then follow the same instruction given before.

From Turin (motorway A4)
Motorway A4 Turin – Milan, then change and enter the motorway Milan – Venice as far as the toll barrier in Cinisello Balsamo – Sesto San Giovanni – Milano Viale Zara and then follow the same instruction given in the section “FROM MILAN”

From Como or Varese
Motorway A4 as far as Saronno, then SS527 as far as rondò dei Pini, then follow the same instruction given in the section “FROM MILAN”

From Lecco
SS36 as far as Villasanta, then access from Porta Villasanta del Parco or Porta San Giorgio or Porta Lesmo.

From Genoa (motorway A7)
Motorway A7 direction Milan, then enter tangenziale Ovest to Venice and follow in tangenziale Est. After the tollbooth:
- exit n° 21 Agrate – direction Monza
- exit n° 26 Vimercate (direction Villasanta)

From Florence or Bologna (motorway A1)
Motorway A1 from Milan, then tangenziale Est in direction of Venice; then follow the instruction given in the section “FROM GENOA”

From Brennero Tunnel or Venice (motorway A4)
Motorway A4 as far as the tollbooth in Agrate and then SP 13 direction Monza or Concorezzo to Porta Villasanta or Vimercate entering Porta San Giorgio or Porta Lesmo.
Linate Airport
Linate airport (phone 02 74852200) is situated in the Eastern suburbs of Milan, is about 10 km far from the town centre and 25 km far from the circuit. The airport is connected to the Central Railway Station of Milan by a special bus service.

Malpensa Airport
Malpensa airport (phone: 02 74852200) is situated in direction of Lago Maggiore, about 40 km far from Milan and 50 km far from the circuit. The airport is connected to the Central Railway Station of Milan by a special bus service:

Orio al Serio Airport
The international airport of Orio al Serio (phone 035 326323) is located in
the North-Eastern area outside Milan, is about 5 km far from the city of
Bergamo, 45 from Milan and 40 from the circuit. the airport is connected to
the Central Railway Station of Milan by a special bus service.
